Richard Tomlinson

Managing Director

Richard is an innovative and successful organic dairy farmer. He farms over 1000 acres of land that carries a herd of 650 dairy cows plus young stock. He was an early advocate of organic farming, converting to organic in 2000, all of his milk being sold to Calon Wen, the Welsh organic milk cooperative. He sees the adoption of anaerobic digestion as the next step in responsible sustainable farming. Richard was instrumental in setting up Calon Wen some fourteen years ago and has recently retired his chairmanship of seven years to take on the role as managing director of Fre-energy, he is still a director of Calon Wen.
